Style & Fabric Guide

A considered guide to the fibres, lace and hand-finishing behind every NORAÉ piece — so each one is chosen, worn and kept with intention.

Our Fabrics

We work almost exclusively in 19-momme, grade 6A mulberry silk — a weight chosen to fall like water against the skin while wearing for years, never seasons.

Lace & Trims

French Chantilly lace, scalloped by hand and finished with slim gold hardware, gives each piece its signature: delicate to the eye, considered in construction.

Fit & Care

The Perfect Fit for Lace

Lace and bias-cut silk move with the body. For the truest fit, measure at the fullest point and choose the size that skims rather than holds.

  • Measure bust and hip at the fullest point, unclothed.
  • Between two sizes, size up for slip dresses and robes.
  • Bias-cut silk relaxes with wear — it should glide, not cling.
  • Adjust the straps so the lace sits flat against the skin.

Caring for Your Pieces

Silk

Hand-wash cool with a gentle pH-neutral cleanser, or dry-clean. Never wring; lay flat to dry, away from direct sun.

Lace

Wash inside a mesh bag to protect the scallops. Iron on the lowest setting through a cotton cloth.

Cashmere

Hand-wash cool, reshape while damp, and dry flat. Store folded with cedar to keep it fresh.
